I'm an edu-therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, and
I'm really passionate about helping individuals get to know themselves better. My goal is to guide you on a journey of personal development, growth, and self-discovery, helping you break free from those tough cycles that hold you back. I believe that connecting with your authentic self is key to living a life full of love and freedom.
EDUCATION/CAREER/CULTURE
With a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my practice. Before becoming an edu-therapist, I had the privilege of educating students at Oakton Community College and Elgin Community College. As a first-generation Korean-American immigrant raised in a Christian family, I possess a deep understanding of East Asian culture, philosophy, and oriental medicine, alongside a personal interest in Buddhism that enriches my perspective.
SPECIALIZATION
I am skilled in integrating personality traits and values, employing the Big Five Factor Model and Schwartz’s Universal Values to tailor my approach to your unique needs. My primary focus is on equipping adults to engage in meaningful self-analysis and therapeutic sessions, empowering them to manage emotional challenges and harness their inherent capacity for healing.
